  3. The way that you stop depends upon what you are doing
  4. at the moment that you decide to stop.  You may have
  5. totally finished what you are doing, or you may be in
  6. the middle of something.

  8. The following topics describe what to do, depending
  9. upon what you are doing at the time.
  10. .h2 Stopping Personalization
  11. You may complete personalization at any time by typing
  12. a /, and pressing the 'enter' key.  At that time you
  13. will be asked whether you want to s (save) the new
  14. definitions, f (forget) them, or do m (more) defini-
  15. tions.  You should either type an s or an f, and then
  16. press the 'enter' key.

  18. Then you will see the 'What You Can Do' screen, so
  19. that you may asked to quit (see below).
  20. .h2 Stopping Data Entry
  21. You may stop in the middle of Data Entry, by typing
  22. a / and pressing the 'enter key, or by just pressing
  23. the 'enter' key enough times to get to the bottom of
  24. the record definition, when you will be asked whether
  25. you want to s (save) the record, f (forget) it, or
  26. define some m (more) parts of that record.  You should
  27. either type an s or an f, and then press the 'enter'
  28. key.

  30. At that time you will see another screen, which asks
  31. you which record that you want to update.  You should
  32. type a 0, and press the 'enter' key, to get out of
  33. Data Entry.

  35. Then you will see the 'What You Can Do' screen, so
  36. that you may asked to quit (see below).

  38. .h2 Stopping an Inquiry
  39. You may stop in the middle of an Inquiry, by pressing
  40. the 'enter' key enough times to get to the bottom of
  41. the inquiry screen, when you will be asked whether you
  42. want to d (display) the results of the inquiry, or to
  43. p (print) the results.  You should type a d (display),
  44. and then press the 'enter' key.

  46. As soon as the results of the inquiry begin to appear
  47. on the screen, you should press the 'Esc' key, to stop
  48. displaying the information.  You will then get a
  49. message telling you to 'Press any key to continue.'
  50. You should then press any key.

  52. Then you will see the 'What You Can Do' screen.
  53. .h2 Stopping from the 'What You Can Do' Screen
  54. When the 'What You Can Do' Screen appears, you can
  55. end the program by typing a 0, and then pressing the
  56. 'enter' key.  A sample of this follows.
